Description

Inspired during a stay in Mexico, Rania Naim, the Creative Director of Jacques Fath Parfums, discovered Copal Blanc incense—a sacred incense offering among the Mayans and Aztecs. Infusing a festive element into the fragrance, Mastic, reminiscent of the lively Greek parties along the Mediterranean where mastika liqueur is enjoyed, was also incorporated into the composition. This rich blend forms the foundation of Encens Copal, capturing the essence of its origins and inspirations.

Jean-Christophe captured the luminous and joyous facet of this revered incense, infusing it with a bold note of Mastic. He further enriched the composition with a playful and warm Hazelnut note.

The Perfumer's word

"Encens Copal draws its inspiration from the charismatic and vivacious spirit of Jacques Fath, a figure whose essence I've acquainted myself with over my collaborations with Jacques Fath Parfums. For my third creation for the brand, I wanted the fragrance to be joyful, sparkling, and colorful in order to pay tribute to the legendary Jacques Fath and his ‘Joie de Vivre’. I combined the essence and resinoid of incense with hazelnut to make it even more mesmerizing, shaping the signature of the creation. I then enveloped it in a contrasting veil of mastic and benzoin, faceting the fragrance with green and warm notes. In the end, it is a composition that explores all the nuances of incense, from the freshness of the first moments to the powerful trail from which emanates dense swirls.”
