Description

Opening with a dazzling burst of citrus essences bringing energy and freshness, Astrum Nova ascends with bergamot, lemon and mandarin. A lush fruity garden filled with delectable mangoes and dark berries adds an ambrosial effect, which is continued by the apricot-like freshness of osmanthus flower and luxurious orris root. This effervescent opening is grounded by precious oud and oakmoss to create a deep woody effect and a sophisticated trail. Ambery notes and musk give a sensual and lasting impression with warm tonka bean and vanilla. The effect gives a feeling of modern opulence and is joyful to wear.

"This composition is an exploration of a different facet of Oud. It has been expressed before through its woody, spicy and animalic aspects. But to me there is also a fruity facet in it, that if dressed properly, makes it shine in another way. That is why this juicy and ripe Mango in the top note can be experienced, as it blends with this aspect of the Oud. The fruity and animalic facets of Osmanthus are linking the Mango and the Oud together. A careful blend of different soft woody notes, Vanilla and Orris, make sure the bottom notes stay smooth and accompany the oud with elegance and richness, taming the more animalic aspects of it."
