"This fragrance is the quintessence of Indonesia's emblematic raw materials. The major raw material of this origin is patchouli, a woody, undergrowth, humid note. To play with certain patchouli tones, we're going to texture it, as a sculptor might. We're going to add matter, a bit of cedar, a bit of Java vetiver to smoke it, make it a bit darker, and add contrast to the base notes with benzoin. The backbone is patchouli, nutmeg and benzoin. I imagine a walk in a fairly dense forest, a sort of jungle, with a touch of undergrowth, a touch of earth, with rays of sunlight coming through, this exploratory idea of the jungle. The mix of earth, wood and spice is multi-sensory! I tried to capture all that, and create a specific accord with its own signature."
