Description
A symphony of fine-grained burnished woods is transformed into an opulent and unctuous fragrance. With PALISSANDRE D'OR, the immemorial scent of precious woods is illuminated in a fiery palette of sienna, lacquered red and molten gold. The idea was born from a rosewood tree, also known as Dalbergia sissoo, which is historically the main species of rosewood in northern India. Another type of rosewood, "rosewood," which evokes intricate carvings and serene Asian groves, was the inspiration. "I can't make perfumes that are too figurative," explains perfumer Alberto Morillas. "For me, a perfume is a melody. His 2015 interpretation is a milky light, running through a wood so polished it turns to silk. Abstract yet intensely evocative, PALISSANDRE D'OR expresses the quintessence of Alberto Morillas' style, defined by the master in three words, "Fluidity, transparency and power."
