"The original idea was very clear: to recreate the smell of a trainer and a rose. I love this type of challenge, which calls for the greatest possible creativity, because this subject had never been dealt with before.
The next step was to find the right balance between the smell of a new trainer and its rubber sole on the one hand, and that of a warm, honeyed rose on the other. To bring dynamism to the note and evoke the world of sport, I used mandarin, as I think it's one of the citrus fruits with the most energy. We wanted a very powerful base. The oud and patchouli woods are adorned with sandalwood, balsam, labdanum, smoke and amber notes."
