Stefan Zweig (1881 – 1942) Austrian writer, playwright, journalist and famous biographer. He fled to Brazil in 1941, the Second World War forever put an end to his humanistic dreams.

 

SANDALWOOD:

The sandalwood tree yields a yellow bark from which its fragrance is extracted. The Egyptians used sandalwood to embalm the mummies In Buddhism, it is considered to be one of the three integral incenses. Its woody fragrance fosters spiritual practice and relaxation.

PATCHOULI:

Patchouli is a tropical plant used as a fragrance for the first time in the 19th century. Long associated with the hippie movement, Patchouli has a powerful scent with earthy, smoky, woody, camphor and syrupy notes.

YLANG:
The ylang-ylang flower gives off a spicy, penetrating scent. Its fragrance symbolizes tropical rainforests. Its exquisite floral scent was discovered in the 19th century, and it quickly became a hit. Suave, sensuous ylang-ylang became a major success in 1926, in Coco Chanel’s «Bois des Iles».
