Perfume's word
"When I smell Grande Ile, it transports me. They take me to Madagascar. There's a lot of sun, and the people are very warm and welcoming. I tried to bring that sensuality, the feeling of skin warmed by the sun, that light you find in a place like Madagascar. For Grande Ile I chose an amber structure, vanilla being one of the key ingredients that leads us to something very warm, very rich, very sensual. Then I used these spicy notes, black pepper and pink pepper, to create tension in the fragrance, add contrast, and a little freshness. That's what we as perfumers aspire to when we create fragrances: to be transported, to connect with different places in this world. That's really what I imagined: a very fragrant island environment that makes me want to be there."
