"Deserts are one of the most seductive features on the face of the Earth. Like the memory of an inspiring, sun-drenched landscape, I imagined diaphanous and mineral facets for a perfume with the contrasting sensuality and warmth of cistus labdanum and incense. Its mineral accord is enhanced by floral ones like sand lily, an endangered sea flower; and white violet, a cousin of the pansy, which has subtle, woody facets. It bursts forth, and each raw material helps to recreate the peaceful atmosphere of the desert, a contrast of silence and minerality with warmth and sensuality. "
