L’Iris de Fath, the rebirth of a myth. There are iconic perfumes that have marked their time; most emblematic of all is Jacques Fath’s Iris Gris by perfumer Vincent Roubert
Launched in 1947, it is the most expensive scent composition in the world due to the use of exceptional ingredients : An iris accord, the "diamond" of perfume, used at a concentration of unreached levels with a fluffy peach. Iris Gris rose to the status of myth when the production stopped in 1954.
Timeless, it remained over the years unique, often copied but never equaled. However, it was unthinkable that this precious heritage remained inaccessible. Under the supervision of Creative Director Rania Naim, Parfums Jacques Fath launched an international competition of perfumers, to reproduce as faithfully as possible this exceptional fragrance. The myth is reborn, thanks to the handwriting of two young talents unanimously chosen by a committee of experts: Patrice Revillard, Perfumer and Yohan Cervi, Creative Director of Maelström.
Like a chrysalis turning into a butterfly , it is now known as L’ Iris de Fath. The one and only , overdosed in iris with its accord of fluffy and gourmand peach, creating a heart filled with powerful emotions.

" We have formulated this perfume by gathering our knowledge about the history of perfumery and by smelling the different vintage versions of Iris Gris at our disposal, including the beautiful re-composition of the Osmothèque made by perfumer Jean Kerléo. Without direct access to the original formula, our only purpose was to be able to admire and smell again this masterpiece that was thought to be lost, proportioned in noble ingredients at a breathtaking level. The main components used in the original version have been preserved as they shape the complexity and fullness of L’Iris de Fath. Since 1947, raw materials and perfumery have evolved so it was necessary to take different paths from those undertaken by perfumer Vincent Roubert, to achieve the same effects and provoke the same emotions."
